WHY GRACE?
At Grace Lutheran School, students are in a safe environment. Our classical education is tried and true. Faculty and staff care about the students. Students will not only be challenged mentally but also physically through recess, PE, and sports. Finally, students hear the word of God on a daily basis throughout the day and especially in daily chapel.
At Grace, students learn and rejoice in the grace of God. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (English Standard Version, Ephesians 2:8-9). At Grace Lutheran School, children are taught that they are saved by grace. Humanity is saved by what Jesus has done. Jesus, who is God, became man to fulfill the law. We break the law daily, but Jesus kept the whole law perfectly. He died a criminal’s death on the cross. The Bible teaches us, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus became the very evil things we do so that we would be forgiven of all our sins through Christ and his grace alone. As Martin Luther said in Latin, “Sola Gratia.” Grace alone. The students at Grace will never be taught that they accepted, chose, or decided to have God’s grace, but that God’s grace was given to them through faith and even faith was not something they did but, “it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
We thank God for our students, faculty and staff, our church, volunteers, and the grace of God that has been given to us through Jesus Christ. Please come and join us to learn more about grace!
